Back To Watching The Filipino Pride: Pacman
I am not be an avid fan of Manny Pacquiao. But I have grown up watching almost all his major fights. My lolo loves watching boxing fights. Even if their TV at their house is bigger ours, he still chooses to watch it with us.
Ever since he passed away, I never enjoyed watching boxing as much as I did before. In fact, I barely watch boxing. I don't know what had gotten into me that I suddenly wanted to watch his fight with Mayweather. Joining the bandwagon, maybe?
My best friend since high school, Jigs is holding a PPV on his resto in the province (Toque Kitchen). The package was affordable. Only 300 pesos per pax, which comes with a free lunch meal and 2 drinks (either beer or iced tea) and you can watch the fight live. I preordered 2 tickets for Waldz and I and asked him to reserve the best seats for us. (Perks of being the best friend! ahaha!)
A few days before the fight, I asked my mom if she wanted to watch with us. When she agreed, I called up Jigs to add 2 more seats for my mom and JM.
So come May 3, we arrived there around 11am. Since the fight hasn't started yet, I decided to avail on the free meal and had my early lunch. They served Beef Salpicao with rice. And I ordered an iced tea. And yes, I ordered an additional dessert.
I saw some familiar faces on the resto, high school batch mates, and even saw some of Waldz' friends. The place is neat. Food was good. Service was commendable.
I think Pacman showed that he is still capable to give us a good show. He gave in a lot of great punches. Too bad, he wasn't declared the champ. I truly believe that he showed more than what is expected and with that he deserves our respect. I'm proud of you Sir Manny Pacquiao!
