Marriage can be a beautiful, romantic thing. But all the paperwork that comes with it? That's less fun. It's tough to keep track of all the legal stuff you have to do when you get married. To make things a little easier, here's a checklist of what to take care of before and after you tie the knot.
- NSO birth certificate
- Baranggay clearance or Cedula
- Baptismal certificate
- Confirmation certificates
- Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)
- Canonical Interview
- Publication of Banns
- Groom and Bride's 2x2 pictures
- Pre-Cana Seminar certificate
- Natural family planning seminar certificate
- Family planning seminar certificate (provided by church)
- Marriage license
- List of principal sponsors
Not all Catholic Churches require the same documents to be submitted. The ones above were the ones that was required by Holy Family Church in Bakakeng, Baguio City. Let this only serve as a guide. Better ask your officiating Parish on your required wedding documents.
Attaching here a helpful list I used during my wedding preps days.
