Baguio Bridal Fair 2015

Eversince we had decided to get married in Baguio, I have been gaga google-ing about the perfect designs and decorations. And I've been looking for the best suppliers with affordable packages. So when I saw a friend's post on Facebook that there is an upcoming bridal fair in Bgauio, I immediately called Waldz and told him that he has to make sure to clear his schedule so we can attend the said event.

They have picked exhibitors, showcasing the finest selection of regional wedding suppliers from venues to cake-makers, photographers to bridal wear and florists.

We went there on the 2nd day. The weather was terrible but we were persistent to attend the event. I have attended a few bridal fairs in Manila and I was expected something like it in Baguio.

The bridal fair was held at The Atrium, SM City Baguio. There were only a limited number of suppliers. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed and puzzled why some suppliers do not take advantage in joining events such as this. For a scouting bride-to-be, fairs like this are really a big help. Anyway, it still didn't stop me from enjoying the event.

Among all the people I spoke with, there are 2 supplers that stand out. Okay, 2 plus The Manor, who gave us the mini brown planner upon signing their registration list. (The planner is really cute that comes with a pen and post its!)

I think she is the only cake maker/baker who joined the event. In all fairness though, her works are eye catching. Rej Milan is the person behind it all. Most of her works were 4-tiered cakes with intricate details. But she also do customized cakes. And we were lucky we have tasted her strawberry shortcake sample. And it was amazing! The price is really affordable and reasonable.  You can also show her your ideal cake and try to work on your budget and yes, you can still haggle! Plus, she is very friendly.

I was very fortunate to speak one of the best event stylist in the wedding industry. Her name is Aischa Bangaoet, the senior stylist and CEO of the famous ThirtyOne Events. They are the ones who styled the wedding of Saab Magalona. Their booth is so enticing that I made sure I stopped by for a quick chat. She even gave me a cookie after my consultation. (Yay!) They really deliver beyond the client's expectation (based on the outputs they showed me) but we are really in a tight budget. Yes, their rates are quite costly, but if you have extra money to spare, I suggest you book them! Plus, the CEO is really nice.

The Wedding Show will give you the opportunity to discuss your individual requirements with experts in the business. Some vendors even give out goody bags or cookies or mini planners. Also, take advantage of discounts and offers available only during the said event. But don’t let yourself be pressurized into buying if you’re not sure.

And do not -- I repeat, do not be afraid to ask questions – no matter how silly they might seem to you. Suppliers are all there purposely to help us and answer these questions.
