A reminder to stay Healthy!

Health is Wealth. I agree. I just reported to work today after a 2-day sick leave. (Stop doubitng! Before you react, this ain't just one of those lazy days!)

I went to see the doctor yesterday, Dr. Marian Delovino, (btw, she is one of the prettiest doctors I have ever seen) at Borough Medical Group. They took my Blood Pressuse (100/60). And asked me to sit as I wait for my turn.

After some physical assessment and after running a few laboratory tests, I was diagnosed to have had an Acute Gastritis. The doctor prescribed Pantropazole (to be taken 3x a day, 30minutes before every meal). And she gave me free samples of Spasomen. Well, she actually just wanted me to try the free tablets given to her by a Medical Representative from Invida. Besides, its for free, so why not?

So after she signed my medical certificate, she gave me tips on how to avoid stuffs like this again.

I am writing this blog to remind us that Health really is Wealth. That prevention is way better than cure. To keep good health no money is needed. It can be achieved only through our efforts and proper health care. We can maintain good health only if we are aware of various factors which affect our health. There are certain things which are essential for keeping our body free from diseases. Nutritious food comes first.

Laughter is the best medicine of good health. So, we should keep calm by overcoming anger, greed, fear, envy and hatred. Life of a healthy man is his long lasting wealth. It makes him able to enjoy life to the fullest. Those who are wealthy may not always be healthy but the healthy people are always wealthy.

Happily Ever After of Mr. & Mrs. Leido

Last Saturday, September 8, was our Great Mama Mary's birthday! I woke up at around 10am from a  phone call from my boyfirend! This is one of those calls that leaves you no choice but to get up! My guy is a morning person, so even if he works the whole night he is still as lively as ever. I, on the otherhand, is the exact opposite. I am usually more perky at night and too damn lazy to get up in the morning! (excuse me for my french, hihi). And this just happened to be one of the days that he wont stop bugging me until I get up from my bed.

So I went to see him. It was AGAIN one of  those guy-attitude --- the last minute wedding gift shopping! I have been reminding him (on a daily basis) to buy a wedding gift eversince last week! Huh! I dont want to elaborate this further because this blog might end up being a ranting entry. haha!

The wedding is at 5:30pm that day, and we only have a few hours left to prepare and all, so  we decided to just look for a gift within Eastwood. After an hour or two we finally decided to buy a coffeemaker. Sorry but I wont be disclosing the price but I must say it is indeed a good buy! And since I am the korny-type-of-girl I suggested to buy couple mugs. :) I was supposed to wrap them to add some personal touch to the gift but since we were in a rush, we end up going to National Book Store instead. I was only a plus one so I was not able to see the invitation and I was unaware of the wedding motif (which now brings us to the dillemna on what wrapper to choose). But just to be safe, we chose silver wrapper and a blue ribbon. (By the way, I would just like to acknowledge that the gift was from Walds, Fil, and Aaron..)

My boyfriend and I left Eastwood half past 4. I was wearing a blue-and-cream dress while he was wearing a cream polo barong. This is one of the reasons why I love to attend special occasions like this; It's just like playing dress up with free buffet! :)

Late due to traffic!

Due to traffic we arrived there almost 6pm. We were quite hesitant to enter the church because we thought that we were so late for the ceremony. But to our surprise, it didn't even started yet. (Yey to that!)

It was my first time to enter San Agustin Church. (This makes me eligible to ask for a wish! Another yey to that!) We were sitted on the right side, next to my boyfriend's friends and colleagues. I think the church is like a mini-Manila Cathedral. Anyway, as I watch the entourage do their thing (do their thing talaga noh?! hehe), I have observed the unique natural glow in the groom's face. He looked so happy and thrilled! But one of the most awaited part of the event was the walking down the aisle of the bride. They were playing "Pangarap Ko ang Ibigin Ka" as they open the church door slowly. Everyone was asked to stand up in honor of the bride. That moment seem so magical and everyone was awed on how elegant the bride was.

The couple's reception was held at Villa Immaculada, Tamayo's Catering. It was only a few blocks away from the church. The venue was indeed a great choice! It was simply elegant. While we were waiting for the bride and groom, appetizers were served in our table (ham with pineapples and shrimp balls). As soon as the couple arrived, the program started and the buffet table was opened. Everyone's hungry stomach was very satisfied! Their mango crepe was awesome! I'm giving them a perfect 10 for the food and service.

The mini chocolate cake souvenir which were meant to given to the principal sponsors. I wonder why I was able to have a one!  :)

After we ate we decided to take a lot of picture from the photo booth. (yes I am exaggerating a lot!). Check out their website to see more of our pictures at Art Pose Photo.

I and my boyfriend Walds, together with Tin and Fil, sneaked out to take some pictures outside.  When we headed back to the venue, the program was almost done.

After taking group pictures, we were invited by Walds' colleague to join them in the penthouse they rented in Orchids Garden Hotel. After a few drinks, we decided to go home.
